I suspect the virus would be greatly assisted by smoking but it has to infect first and it would seem that nicotine is making that more difficult.
It's about time us smokers had some good news (and this is not the first time I've seen reference to smokers being less at risk). People have been so terrified by this virus through the media that I don't see them as dim at all if that's what they choose to help protect themselves. Smoking kills but it doesn't kill you in a couple of weeks.
