Do I Have To Join Worldpress.com To Get To Gravatar?

I've noticed my avatar is missing but don't seem to able to access Gravatar unless I go through WorldPress.com. Is that right?

Gravatar is part of Wordpress, so a Gravatar account is the same as a WordPress one. However you can log in with your Google or Apple account details if you'd prefer.

So same email address and password for Gravatar Rowan?
If so, I've tried that, can't remember my password and it's not sending a new one to me. I'll try again.

Your AB avatar will go missing if you change the email address in your profile (because that address is the only way that AB's and Gravatar's servers can link your info together).

It can also go missing either if you accidentally disable it or if AB's server throws a wobbly and turns it off without you asking it to.

So it might be worth clicking on 'View your profile' to check that your avatar is shown as activated and then on 'Edit my profile' to check that the correct email address (i.e. the one you've got registered with Gravatar) is shown there.
