It depends.....
A good voice coach may be able to teach you ways to lower your register a little, this may not be successful if you sound like Joe Pasquale, though.
I know about this....she actually stretched her vocal cords to achieve a deeper voice. Its definitely possible but you need to be committed to the exercises and I gather that it ranges from uncomfotable to painful. There may also be a need to keep the exercises up for life to maintain the stretch
// Don't think you will find a surgeon willing to do this (if it is at all possible)//
Sqad is ENT oriented and may answer
There are operations available, and your first stop is your GP in the UK and you have to persuade him that you need it
need not as in want
and yeah I wouldnt bother BUT that swasnt the question
PP the vocal cords can be operated on for many reasons, excision of vocal nodules is the commonest and vocal cord centralisation for improving the voice in malignant disease but I know of no operation performed on normal vocal cords for purely affectation.
I do not understand the
posts concerning voice training as this has nothing to do with the surgical approach as mentioned by the OPer
Sqad, this OP - Gen is unhappy with such a lot, they want a deeper voice (ideally to sound like a 50+ shouty man) and also to be older as quickly as possible.
Gen also has great trouble concentrating on things.
