Word Constantly 'Not Responding'

I'm using Windows 10 and Office 365. All seemed fine until a couple of weeks ago, when Word started 'not responding' every time I tried to do anything: open a document, edit a document, save a document, it doesn't matter what I try to do, it 'not responds' for between 5 and 30 seconds. I don't have to do anything, it sorts itself out, I type away and then, when I want to save the document or close it down, it stops responding again. If I leave a document and come back to it: 'not responding'.

As I'm currently working from home and relying on this to do my work, it's a pain in the neck and causing huge delays and not a little frustration.

I would be grateful for any help - provided it's termed in such a way that I can understand (and doesn't consist of: "Chuck your computer out of the window," which is what I feel like doing!

Try repairing Microsoft Office. If that doesn't work, reinstall it:
