Blue Murder - Janine and Richard

I have one curious question - as I am not native english speaker, though I understand good enough to watch english films, still from time to time I don�t catch what character says.

In Blue Murder�s pilot, Janine was telling her friend about Richard Mayne, that she knows him from Hendon police course and that they were engaged - but I didn�t catch what was the reason for her and Richard splitting up??

Also, from where was Richard Mayne transferred to Manchester?

And final question - does anyone knows if it is possible to get Blue Murder, both series, on VHS (for I don�t have DVD player)? I am from Czech republic.
