Try rubbing soap over the lens ?

Or better still, show some gumption and refuse to wear a mask
I do what it shows on the 2nd link, I put the bottom of my specs over the top of the material
Clean with a drop of washing up liquid and polish off. This works really well, I got the tip from 'Dr Hilary' on the tele. !!!!!
Take the mask off.

If it causes you "severe distress" to wear one (which I would suggest, if you are unable to see properly, it does) then you have a "reasonable excuse".
A drop of washing up liquid on a kitchen towel rubbed on your glasses sorts it.
Nice little advert for contact lenses from Specsavers.
Around thirty years ago when I wore glasses I used a small spray which consisted of silicone + other ingredients and it worked a treat!

Ok, more expensive than soapy water, but more effective...

But why take off your mask and increase the risks, when there is a simple solution
fogged-up glasses are not severe distress, except to lawyers with an eye on a compensation claim.
f-f...because there are people who don't want to comply and will use any excuse available. Usually from the "I'm older and know everything" brigade.
I wonder whether a surgeon in hospital would be allowed to get away without wearing a mask in the operating theatre simply because his/her glasses might steam up.
The usefulness/efficacy of face masks remains unproven. Meanwhile they're a blooming nuisance and an infringement of human rights.
Theirs don't steam up, ff, because they fit. So they are breathing through and not around them.
Some have some metal so you can pinch them around the top of your nose... otherwise clean them with some washing up liquid.

How do you know what causes somebody severe distress? I have come across (what I consider to be) the most ridiculous reasons for getting upset and dissolving into a state of distress. But genuine distress it was and you cannot say what causes people distress and what does not. More than that nor can anybody else.

No of course he wouldn’t. Presumably when he embarked on his career he was told – if he didn’t already know – that he would be required to wear surgical grade face coverings when operating. He would also be told why: because he would be standing over his patients who would have open wounds and who would be extremely susceptible to infection in those circumstances. People going for a pint of milk in Tesco’s were not educated with that in mind and more importantly than that they have not been educated in the proper use of face coverings so as to minimise the risks to themselves by using them incorrectly. On top of that, last time I was in the dairy isle I didn't notice too many of my fellow customers with large open wounds and the chances of them being infected by my passing are near enough zero. Other than that the comparison is almost spot-on.
Rubbing shaving cream on the lenses (if you have any) then rinse off before wearing. Works on bathroom mirrors. Another way is using your spit (I know I know!) like swimmers do with masks or goggles.
To prevent my glasses fogging up when wearing a mask, I find that it helps if I keep my mouth shut, and breathe through my nose. It isn't ideal, but it does help - a bit.
Stay in!
I threaded a piece of wire through mine and it now works fine for most of the time.

when they tell you about it. Cleoval hasn't.
