Twice a week, two quid a go, £18 per month.

We don't even need the money! (Although friends and relations could do with more).

So what it stopping me cancelling the direct debit?

Inertia.

I shall do it immediately.

No idea...we've never bought a lottery ticket - ever! Or a scratch card...or anything else of a similar ilk. No interest at all.

Just looked up the figures. Since 2006 we've won £555, and bought £3024-worth of tickets.

Dahh...
I won £609 last year, nowt since. I only do it occasionally.
Do you have fixed numbers ?
I did the lottery when it began, for about 18 months, and never won a penny. I then persuaded my wife to have a go, and she won £92, just like that!
These are my deal departed mum in law.

Don't anyone dare win.
Mr BD and I have done the same numbers (one line each) since day one. Still waiting for the big one.
On the first night of the lottery I sat to check off the numbers as they came out of the drum. I had the first, second, third, and fourth. I thought for a second I was going to take a share of the jackpot.
But that was it. £67 for the 4 numbers that night.
BD - Do you feel , almost compelled to do it each week ; just in case the week you don't is the week your numbers come up ?
Question Author
Yes, same numbers since day one - which has always made it harder to stop. And Mrs A says 'keep going', as the week we stop, we win. (Not sure of the logic, but she's often right...)
Bazile - exactly that. It is set up on direct debit now so don't really think about it. They will email me if I win.
I'm the same except it's £7.50 a week, I can't stop because it's the only way I'm going to get my dream of moving abroad.
I used to buy a fivers worth on the Saturday and also for the Wednesday.Never won anymore than a tenner. When it went up to£2 i stopped playing.Mind you i have had a few phone calls telling me i have won millions on the Canadian lottery.Despite me giving them all my bank account details,i never recieved a penny. My bank account seemed to get depleted though:-(
I don't know why you still do it....I still do it cos I'd still like to win it.
I played from day one. Same numbers Saturday and Wednesday. I stopped when they increased the amount of numbers. I will never check the results ever .
I also have set numbers

Wish I hadn't :-)
I do lucky dips for just that reason
still do it in spite of having just about everything i want. It'd be nice to pay off the kid's mortgages for them though :-)

There is a website where you can check if you have ever won

Do you want details ?
I've played the lotto and Euro millions for years now. I play the same numbers and live in hope.
