The Irish border concession by the UK govt. was originally predicated on an agreement by the EU that they would deal with us on a ' Canada- type' basis, or so I remember, read now and generally understand. Once signed, the EU then withdrew it's offer. This, surely, negates any 'deal', which has to be held to by both parties. The Government is right to withdraw...

The 'underlying wrongness' was creating a situation where there is an internal border down the Irish Sea splitting our nation. As I understand it the agreement signed left room for maneuver, notwithstanding the deal, national law overrides. Can't allow the EU to dictate what can and what can't be moved between GB and NI. No self respecting nation would tolerate that sort of situation, and the whole world knows it.
