Connect A Non-Smart Tv

I have an regular TV but I'm trying to connect it to the internet with my phone, I have watched YouTube videos but they're telling me I need Wi-Fi, I don't have Wi-Fi. I want to use my phone data/connection. How can I set that up?

If you've not got wifi the only way you can acquire it via your phone is turn its 'hotspot' feature on. That effectively turns it into a router broadcasting a wifi signal.
