No Sound On Smart Tv!

I have a new JVC smart tv and have no sound from Sky HD box.Netflix and Youtube are fine. Also the skybox works in another room. I tried using an Hdmi and it was fine except it just kept falling out. So I connected with co axial aerial. Good picture bit absolutely no sound. The menu is so confusing anyway. If I keep reinstalling it all it takes ages to connect to wifi so am reluctant to do all that again! Any simple solutions bearing in mind that I am finding it all very difficult.

You will need to use HDMI. Try using the lead the other way round, n other words plug the end that was plugged into the TV into the Sky box and vice versa; it just might not fall out that way round. Failing that a different HDMI lead will be the answer.

Pin it down. Take ALL leads out. Does sound come out of the ‘naked’ TV?

If your HDMI cable keeps falling out, are you sure that it's being pushed in far enough?

Hdmi isnin as far as can go. Just tried it again still ko sound. What do I install it as Analogue Aerial or cable. Or digital aerial or cable?

You haven’t muted the Sky box?

No as it working I other rooms via extension cable.

May be a faulty HDMI lead

Yay I've fixed it. Thanks for all answers. I had to change the settings from BG to I and hey presto alls well. Relief!

Me again. Yes it is all up and running perfectly with coaxial aerial. I now have a new hdmi cable but before I use it, will I have to retune it all again or will it just appear once I press hdmi source??
