Digital Radios...
6 Answers
I've a digital radio which has a fuzzy sound to it. I've moved it to different locations in the house with no improvement. Do they generally produce a cleaner sound than the type of radios they replaced?
I'm aware that the problem may be with my ears rather than the radio.

However it could just be a problem with your particular radio (or, as you say, with your ears!), as many (most?) people find the audio quality of DAB signals perfectly adequate for their needs.

Digital radios in my house have never been that good, reception-wise.
I ditched them in favour of internet radio...23,000 stations from all over the world...radio fans heaven!

We have two; one upstairs and one downstairs. Both are excellent except that the downstairs one often cuts off for a few seconds and then retunes. It could be the location, or it could be the quality of the machine. We live in west London, so I don't know what it's like elsewhere. (The good one is Roberts, the iffy one is Pure).
A few months ago I wanted one for the kitchen. (For my wife).
Bought a radio from Asda.
Got it home and realised I had bought just a normal FM radio.
Took it back to exchange it.
Young guy on the counter asked why I wanted to exchange it.
I told him I didn't like the music coming out of it!
You should have seen his face :-)
