Had to go out early this morning and found to my amazement that I had to scrape quite a bit of frost and ice off the car. Very unusual. Took quite a while for the heater to clear the windscreen and the washers remained frozen for about another 30 minutes. Drove in sunshine there and very bright sunshine on the way back. Got back and it poured with rain for about 30 mins and then more sunshine.
Any one get the same?

Same up here LJ a heavy frost which isn't lifting all day ,my watch says it's 1degree out there :0/
Cold and clear here in Suffolk, with only a very light breeze. It was -3C at breakfast time, with the temperature peaking at the dizzy height of 1C at lunchtime but it's now on its way back down towards -3C for this evening though.
Very much same as Chris ^^^
"washers remained frozen...". You do know that you can get additives that prevent them freezing in the first place?
Cold and clear here, after a very frosty start.

It's on its way down here. Sun has now gone and it is very dark. I see that this country has got weather warning of snow. Only seen it here 3 times in 25 years and it was mostly gone by 9.30 am. Only stayed once and then next door (farmer) did shopping by tractor.
Got snowed in on Monday (Stoke), kids still sleding and making snowmen (or is that snow persons now, I lose track...)
Very very cold. On my walk in the park I'd noticed several puddles had frozen over. Looking like mini ice rinks.

Yes ginge I do and I know you can get antifreeze but as I said in my other post 3 times in 25 years doesn't put it at the top of my shopping list.

lol @ Nailit. don't expect me to know. I'm too old to care.
Woke to a covering of snow (about two inches), the grass, trees and the banks of the water look lovely but the paths and courtyard are now just slush.

Mamy it is horrible when it does that. Feels colder than when it is fresh snow.
It was -3 in London this morning. We've got hazy cloud where I am but no rain so far.
l-j...the problem with letting washers freeze is that it can cause damage to the pump in the washer reservoir, or cause pipework to split or become detached...all awkward and time-consuming jobs to put right.
Beautiful day in Birmingham, went out to get some exercise, sat by the reservoir watching the birds for a while, took a flask of hot chocolate with me. bliss.
Snow hanging about from Tuesday but quite mild.
