I have an Honor 10 phone and a Mercedes A180. I would really like them to talk to each other! I get so far (bluetooth switched on phone, search for phone on vehicle screen) but it is not picking up my phone. Also my phone is not coming up with available/paired devices. It picks up my husbands fit it OK which is strange. Any ideas?

Is the car definitely Bluetooth equipped? Try a different phone to search.
If it is and the car is pre-owned the memory may be full so delete old devices to make space.
Is your phone bluetooth set to "visible"? If it's not, then other devices won't be able to "see" it.
Have you tried connecting the other way - get your phone to do a bluetooth search and it should find your car and then connect. That's that way I connect my phone to my Peugeot.

Gizmonster - the phone is set to visible but is not picking up 'available devices' during scanning. I suspect something on my phone is blocking. It was working up until yesterday. I also managed to link a portable speaker to it, neither of which are showing on my phone today

Douglas9401 - I deleted all devices on my car and started from scratch
How old is the car? A BMW that we used to own wouldn't pair up with a new model iPhone that I bought. After a bit of googling I found out that it was a problem for a lot of people.

Rocky racoon - the car is a 2013. The Bluetooth was working up until a couple of days ago
