Washing Machine - Weird Question, Body Cream.

a while ago i had a serious case of eczema for a few wks, something triggered it, so for a few weeks i was seriously slathering myself in thick zerocream before bed.
obviously the sheets got covered in it and it soaked in, i didnt care, i figured it would just wash away, and weirdly the cream coated sheets felt nicer on my skin.

i piled the sheets up and just used others, but when i washed them - they came out covered in white balls of cream and speckles ... and i mean 'covered' - loads of them. it was bizarre.
it had not washed it away, just made it ball up and cling to the fabric.

i thought probably the heat setting was too low, so i put them on a hot wash, thinking that will melt it all away

nope. some worked, some ddnt - i suppose some just have a lot more cream on them.

i ended up having to shake some sheets over the bath, then swish them in the bath and letting the little balls fall into the water.

i have had to use the cream before and since a few times and then done the same thing.

now however a little while later, and my washing machine is stuck on the spin cycle.

i switch it on and it instantly just goes to the flashing LED over the spin icon & when started it just goes through the spin cycle, every time.

ive tried a few tricks i looked up, and i drained the filter at the bottom - there was nothing in it blocking it though - that i could see!

so, could all this gunk stuff actually be stuck inside the machine causing it to stay on the spin cycle?

or stuck in the pipes?

and if so, what can i do?

Try a really hot wash with soda crystals in the dispenser tray .. I would do exactly the same with the bath before the waste gets blocked as well. If the cream is surviving a full wash in the machine, it will be sat in the bath waste as well.
Pour the crystals into the plug hole and rinse them away with a few kettles of boiling water.

The gunge could be sitting in the drain pipe from the washing machine and preventing the water being pumped through. The machine will think the filter is blocked as it will have the same effect. It's easy to check the flexible hose but checking the plumbing inside the machine (after the filter) will be more difficult.

Yes .. when you think about it. The hot water will have partially cooled by the time in gets past the pump and into the drain hose where the cream may have solidified. Bhg is right, the fact that the spin cycle keeps running means the machine is trying to drain by spinning .. but it can't because of the blockage.
It may be a wise option to replace the drain hose ?

Thanks, yes, its hard because i cant see inside except certain areas, so i dont know if it there.

also ive washed other things since these sheets with no problem.

can other things clog it up without me realising? i cant think of anything else in the but could something small be in there?

Most small things get trapped in the pump. As a rule they are easily removed by undoing the drain plug found conveniently at the front of the machine behind a small rectangular flap.
Just put a towel on the floor before you undo it.
