Amazon Refund For Item Never Received

On March 12 I ordered cat litter from amazon eu. Payment was taken on the 15th with delivery expected on the 18th.
When tracking the delivery, I found a notice that it was undeliverable due to being damaged in transit. I could expect a refund within 5 to 7 working days after the return was processed.
I've not received the refund...yet. And contacting Amazon eu just took me
through Amazon's standard returns process that requires that I return it. But no option to be refunded for something I never received.
Should I wait a bit longer...not knowing how long it takes to process returns at their end.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Phone Customer Servuce, you will eventually get to speak to someone, and they will give you an email address to forward evidence it was not deliverable -either a screenshot of the web page or an email, however you were informed. They will then process a refund. It happened to me under slightly different circumstances but the refund appeared within a few hours as I opted to be credited onto my Amazon account by gift voucher.

I needed a specialist litter for the boy, he'd taken to going anywhere but the litter tray. It's worked (I got it elsewhere when Amazon didn't deliver).
Clover...that's what I did first, but they wanted to know how I'd return it. I'll contact thrm when I've got the patience to get on the phone.
