Is there a fault with the search facility? - it returns little or no results for anything, even when I know the information is there. If it were to work a little better - and perhaps be a little more prominent, it would probably reduce the considerable number of posts on identical subjects - you know the ones we mean!

You have to type in the exact question, including higer/lower case. Thats what I do.

I have just tried this and got a different result, but then tried the original search criteria and got different results to those of an hour ago - hmmm.

Don't forget that the search facility only checks the category that you are currently in - as indicated by the bold text in the category list.

Contd. (pressed submit too early !) ..you can only search all categories (the whole site) from the home page - I hope this helps.

The search parameters were updated quite recently. Currently, as suggested, they concentrate on the Question *Title* (hence the exhortions when posting a question to make the title obvious!). Looking at the way it is used. As always - all suggestions most welcome!

Perhaps this would help: a huge popup with "VELVET UNDERGROUND etc.." in big letters!!! ;)
