What powers your boiler?
Does the boiler heat your home as well as the water?
hi i have a valiant boilerand have radiateurs,
If you have asmart meter you can try diffrent lengths of time.
You need the boiler on when you want or need radiator heat.
Are you at home all day? It might just need turning down a bit. Alternatively try having it on an hour in the morning and then from five(ish) to when you go to bed.
hi i have just had a smart meter installed a few days ago but previous my electric bill was high. i will turn my boiler off. What do you think.? Thanks.
Are you intending to freeze to death?
In this kind of cold, I need to have the heating on at least several times a day. Morning and evening wouldn't cut it. Try having it on for several 1 hour periods. That should reduce your cost a bit...don't go without heat.
cleo... You have a gas boiler, so there will be noticeable reduction in your electricity bill even if you never turn the boiler on at all. If you want to cut your electricity bill, then you need to think about your electrical appliance use.
Sorry, I'm getting confused between the two cleos!

Are both Cleos the same?
Yes, the two Cleos are the same
I think they've gone to bed or gone out on the town.
This is a classic example of why having two accounts is frowned on, it causes confusion.
I'm wondering if she has the same set up as me - gas central heating and an electric immersion heater. I turn my immersion heater off in the winter when the central heating is on
I have had the oil heating on from 10am. Just turned it off

If the water is currently gas heated, that would increase the electricity bill.
