Netflix And Amazon Prime.
11 Answers
I can watch Netflix because my daughter pays for it and has set it up on my TV so I can watch it.
Can you do this with other things like Amazon Prime ( I think that's what it's called.)
There is a film I would like to watch called Evelyn with Pierce Brosnan but when I look for it on Netflix it's not the one with him in it but I think it's on Amazon Prime video.

(a) a breach of the service provider's terms and conditions ; and
(b) a criminal offence. (i.e. intellectual property fraud)

They can't really know unless they track IP addresses. The guidance is there to deter people but Netflix etc. are fully aware that's how people use it. they still get subscriptions from it working this way - I have 2 friends who used to use my account but used it a lot so got heir own accounts.
If it really starts to affect the companies financially they can always restrict access to one user :)

Your connection will be through a different IP address to that at your daughter's home, so that could set alarm bells ringing with Netflix.

My sister had Netflix one viewer herself £5.99 on checking her bank statement it had gone up. Not being much on Netflix she put it on to check her account and lo and behold it had been upgraded costing more. Not only that the names on the tv had been changed all strange names to her. So immediately phoned Netflix who told her her account had been hacked. She had to change her password and also email address. Some clever people out there. I check mine regular now.
