Been having a good look at tonight's England v Spain quarter-final match with a view to eking out a decent punt that has every chance of bearing fruit.
The Lionesses are on a 17 match unbeaten run - 15 wins and 2 draws, topped their group on 9 points, with 14 goals scored and 3 clean sheets.
Spain qualified in 2nd place behind their group winners, Germany, who beat them 2-0. Spain had to rely on a last gasp 90th minute winner in their match against Denmark and, despite dominating possession in all 3 of their games, do look vulnerable to the counter.
I expect them to test England, with quite a few on target shots and i'll be surprised if both teams do not register. Beth Mead is the tournament's leading scorer with 5 goals and she looks like a player on a mission.
Beth Mead over 1.5 shots on target
Match result - England win
More than 2 goals scored between both sides
No, Mozz, 90 minutes. Whenever i back Burnley, a Clarets win is more important than a winning bet. And so it is with the Lionesses. I get to play again in a few days:-)
Going with the Germans tonight. Nowt original in that, seeing as how they are 2/7 to win. Was looking at a 2-0 result but that's only 5/1 which is a terrible price for a correct score bet.
The bet i've settled on is also 5/1 but doesn't rely on the correct score.
Germany to win both halves and be awarded most corners in both halves.
