New Mobile Phone
11 Answers
I have to get a new mobile phone . in spite of putting a new battery in the phone doesn't retain the charge.
I'm afraid I can't get my head round this "sim only or sim free" choice. Please could someone explain in very easy to understand language ,
I have a deal with Virgin where I pay £6 or so a month - that gives me 2gb , 2500 minutes and unlimited texts. It is plenty for my needs and I would like to keep that arrangement.
My present phone is a Samsung J2016 and I bought it outright which is what I want to do again.
Also , any suggestions as to what to buy would be welcome. i think Samsung are quite user friendly.
I am 90 but use the phone a lot for internet access, emails and texts. At present I do not need a phone with large format.
Thank you for any replies.

The SIM is a tiny (removable) card in your phone which provides your number and connects you to your provider.
Your easiest option is to move the card from your present phone into the new one - If you buy your new phone from a Virgin Store then I'm sure the shop would do this for you (our local Virgin store did this for me).
