anyone been lately? I am confused. We have our standard ticketsbooked for 330. on the ticket it says "Please head directly to the London Eye at the time of your visit – at this time you will be permitted to join the queue. To note, the time of your visit IS NOT your boarding time for the London Eye." However according to further instrucctions at the bottom of the ticket it says "A standard entry ticket valid on the date and time specified in this booking only, please join the main boarding line with your ticket/s 30 minutes prior to your stated time. "
so do i turn up at 330 or 3pm?

What an appallingly disorganised system.

Queue for half an hour after booking in advance - that's shocking.
Bobbi went last year I think...maybe she will see this.

lol canary, you can of course pay for the privilege of NOT queuing!
I wouldn't worry about it. They won't be too officious.
Went in July, arrived 15 minutes early. No hassle just joined the queue which moved very quickly
I loved it, we arrived too late through the congestion that is London, went into the booking office and showed our tickets, no problem,we were put on the next one
Their website states,

"The time slot you select is the time you are granted access to the queue for the London Eye. We ask guests to anticipate queues of around 45 minutes for standard tickets and a queue time of around 20 minutes for Fastrack ticket holders.

***Please do not arrive before your time slot as you will not be granted entry into the queue until then.***"[emphasis added]

Our tickets last week were for 11.15, it said to arrive half hour early, and due to trains we didn’t arrive until 11.15. All was fine, we joined the queue, no questions asked, barcode stamped, line went down very quickly, so just try to arrive half hour earlier than booked but don’t worry if you are late as long as you have the barcode.

i needed to thank you smurf, i had forgotten i had clubcard vouchers and your post reminded me to get the tickets with them, rather than paying over a hundred quid!
