I’m after a dehumidifier for the bathroom but it must be cordless as unlike our European counterparts, UK bathrooms don’t have electric sockets

I sometimes give my bathroom a blast with my quite large dehumidifier - just put it on an extension lead.

I wanted a small one I could leave in as the weather gets colder , as a permanent feature GG
In my experience, the small ones don't work very well. Someone lent me one and it hardly did anything!

Thanks for the tip gg, much appreciated
It would be worth having a word with an electrician Bobbi.
Sockets CAN be fitted in bathrooms, but only under certain conditions (which I won't bore you with now - unless you want me to.)

Instead of a socket - think of what a towel rail is. It's an electrical appliance, but it's "wired-in". (NOT a socket.)
A mains dehumidifier could be fitted like that. It would have to be on a very short lead. (To stop you lugging it over so that it's too near a bath/shower/basin.)

An electrician will fill you in on the details. :o)

Thanks very much builder, I have a heated towel rail in already, I’ll certainly block into this
Couldn't you get a fan fitted to an outside wall. Some of these like the one we have stays on all the time. Most of the time it is on very low and makes hardly any noise then when we use the shower it goes faster. Just need an electrician to fit it.

I could but I don’t want the building mess at this time of year sheds, I think I’ll be looking towards getting that done though, maybe around March / April time
We put a window fan in. Worked well
yes, I just use an extension cord.

I always have ours open a notch too , it helps but it doesn’t completely stop the condensation ,it’s just a thought at the moment
