Refund Or Exchange Question

I purchased a matching cabin and medium suitcase for my son for Christmas.  Unfortunately the grip handle has snapped. When I bought it it was discounted from £89 to £59.    Because its part of a matching set I would like it replaced but they have refused. They will only refund then I would have to buy again at for £89.  Is this correct?

Yes. They can refund or replace, it seems in this case they have chosen the former.
