I'm on an AppleMac and I don't know whether I have done something daft to cause this but it's driving me nuts.  I have tried suggestions from googling the problem but nothing has worked.  I chose Safari many moons ago and if I want it changed it'll be my decision.  Anyone else had this problem and if so how did you fix it please?

They're 2 different things aren't they?

Safari is a browser. Gmail is an email service

Mac user here too, I love mine.

If I'm guessing correctly what the problem is, then this is the solution:

Thank you all for your replies.  I don't know how it happened but Safari is back now as a friend fixed it for me.  Cheers.
