I went to sign in to my Premier CS5 today, to do some video editing, and got a message that I was no longer allowed to use it and I had to subscribe. The program then vanished. I'm absolutely livid of course, I have loads of half edited projects, and trusted that when I bought the program originally, I would be able to use it on my computer forever.
Is there anything that can be done about this? As far as I can see it costs £30 per month to subscribe, for three months, and then £60 per month. is there anything that can be done about this? There is absolutely no way I can afford either.

If you're looking for a change to a non-subscription editor I can recommend Pinnacle Studio. I've been using it for over 20 years, just for editing home videos so I don't use a lot of the options it offers. I use it to move sound from one scene to another, adjust sound, adjust picture quality, create titles and menus, add music and voice-overs. You can download a trial version and use it for about a month; if you don't like it you can get a full refund. I did that a couple of years ago, found I preferred the old version and got the refund with no hassle at all. It's worth giving it a try if you want a non-subscription editor.
