if you mean a stack airfryer we bought one on Monday and yesterday i cooked a jacket potato in my Corsori ,in my  new one did stuffed chicken breast in top draw and roast pots in bottom draw all were ready at the same time x

Yes, your chicken doesn't taste of salmon and vice versa!

I have a side by side dual drawer ( a christmas present)

Basically it means you can cook your chicken breasts whilst roasting your potatoes, you don't have to wait for 1 thing to finish before cooking the next

or you can just use 1 drawer if you only need to cook 1 thing

Snead, lol! Valid point and nicely made :)

Mallyh and DDIL,  excellent, I'll be browsing the 2 door.

Hubby has been cooking for ages due to my infirmity, but he's struggling bending to use oven.

Really appreciate your 3 answers, most grateful xxx

I didn't want an airfryer and if i am honest I am still not sure about it.

but, i do use it a lot but I am not sure if its because its there and I am trying to please him as he thought he did well to purchase it

Don't want to put you off but the fire service say they are attending more house fires that have been started by air fryers.

It was on my local news last week. It appears to be down to over loading them or, adding to much oil??

I have a two drawer ninja. I think if I was buying again, I'd get the one drawer ninja with a removable divider in it (from memory I think Barmaid has one).

Id like to be able to cook a whole large chicken in it for instance, or other things which require a bigger drawer.

The two drawer one I have is fine for, say, six sausages in one drawer and some chips in the other but I struggled to fit a whole small chicken in a drawer in mine.

I've never added any oil to anything I've cooked, you just don't need to.

I think they were wrongly named 'air fryers', they don't fry food, they cook it like an oven but much quicker.

Vagus i'm keeping my cosori one as i can do a whole chicken in it and it's delicious ,my new one is a stack Haden £89.99 with 2 5.5 ltr basket from Lidls x

^^ Just thought I'd mention it as an heads up. By what I heard it was more to do with people not using them right, but i suppose they would say that even if there was any other problem??

Mally, I may yet be tempted 😉

I sent mine back. My flatbed combi microwave has two shelves and cooks faster and cheaper than an air fryer. (I tested it). It can cook a 3.5lb chicken.

A very large air fryer really isn't cheaper to run than a well insulated modern oven.  If I were cooking a roast chicken I'd also be cooking roast potatoes, roast veg, stuffing, maybe Yorkshire pudding and an apple pie. The oven would be full anyway.  My main oven heats very quickly and has a door that keeps the heat in whilst I'm turning food.

I don't like the idea of cooking in all that plastic and Teflon.  It's another blerdy gadget to keep clean.

I hear about people using them to boil eggs. It's cheaper and quicker to boil them on the hob.

I have a spray gun with proper olive oil in it (not the manufactured oil spray)

I give wedges, breaded chicken, gyozos a spritz but don't use oil on meat.

That's how I cook food in my main oven, DDIL, and in the fry pan

My main reason is really himself and bending down.

Wish lidl would hurry up and do another middle aisle thingy with their air fryers :)

Am torn between a cheapo then regretting or a bit more expensive then regretting :))

Alba, this is the one I got for Christmas

Funny this has come up.  Last week we ordered a Ninja air fryer via Martin Lewis moneytips as there was a further £40 off the sale price bringing it down to £89.99p. My husband thought it would be good to try, thinking it would save on cooking time. It arrived Saturday, we took it out of the box must admit it looked attractive. On reading the instructions and recipe book we decided it wasn't what we expected, with much of the everyday cooking taking as long or even longer than our oven, hob or microwave so both agreeing that it was just another gadget we parcelled it back up and returned it Monday. It is now safely back with Ninja and our refund will show in next few days.

Just checked Martins Money tips in case anyone was interested and the offer was so popular they have sold out.

Alba, an air fryer may solve the problem for you and your husband as there's only the two of you to cook for. Between an air fryer, the hob, and a microwave (if you've got one) then there's no bending needed and a variety of food can be cooked successfully.

Good luck with your decision 😊

I am surprised that things take longer In an air fryer than In an oven.

I often find I have to take at least 1/3 of tthe Cooking time  off or it'll be "caramelised"
