the effect of this is much the same as the golden visas and Musk's idiot followers leaking government data through DOGE... the idea is to open the floodgates to Russian money, spying, influence etc... it is to corrupt american democracy on purpose in order to keep the republicans in power forever. they have sold out their country to putin.
