What would the questions be do you think?

Has anyone ever seen or experienced any of this mythical "white privilege"? I keep looking for mine never found it.

Given that the MET Police are institutionally racist, I would think that there is undeniable ‘white privilege’ for anyone having dealings with this organisation.

Heaven knows what the questions would be, probably skewed so the answers would prove their point.

Haven't even looked for white privelige, let alone seen it.

As for any unconscious crud, surely it's subconscious?

From the internet:  //Unconscious bias is when we make judgments or decisions on the basis of our prior experience, our own personal deep-seated thought patterns, assumptions or interpretations, and we are not aware that we are doing it.//

I think that's what Meghan and Harry accused the royals of when they said they were racist.

Anecdotal white privilege (from many years ago).

During my early school years, each class had around 3 students of Afro-Caribbean descent – the catchment area of the school holding a number of Afro-Caribbean immigrant families.

When I started my first job in a nearby town – the company was a large employer, having a large works canteen that I would estimate held over 500 diners.  On first entering the canteen (which was over 90% full), it struck me that not a single person was non-white (not even any Asian staff).

^^^ anecdotal bolleaux!

So: are jobs threatened if those pushing this are politely told that their racist bullying test for something non-existent should find a shady place to be put ?

I recall the above incident well; the group of new employees (that I was a cohort of) were already seated – as I exited the servy area, one of them waved to me from the table they were seated at.

On joining them, he said to me that I looked like a lost school boy, not seeing where they were.  But I had noticed them; I was scanning the entire canteen, which to my surprise contained not a single non-white person – whereas I’d usually observe around 10% being non-white in an educational setting.

// whereas I’d usually observe around 10% being non-white in an educational setting.//

Why would you even think about it?  It woud never cross my mind to do that.  You actively seek non-white faces - which is tantamount to finding racism when there's no reason to seek it in the first place.  People who do that create racism.

When I was younger, living in a town where I would guess around 5% of the population were non-white (and having friends who were non-white) – this was probably the first time I had encountered such a large group of people, all of whom were white (which struck me as odd).

You're virtue signalling, Hymie - telling us all how non-racist you are - and yet you're the only one here who appears to count.

I’m not virtue signalling – I might approve that my former employer did not employ non-white staff (I haven’t said either way).

In defence of my former employer, the town in which they were located had a much lower non-white population (than where I lived) and most employees were from the local area.

Back in the mid 1970s car ownership was not as it is now (and people did not travel as far to work).  In fact parking was limited, such that employee onsite parking was only available to staff who had been employed for more than 2 years (imagine such a restriction now).

As an interviewer, I have had to undergo unconscious bias training. It didn't seem like a problem to me, I'm not quite sure why the express making it so. Mine was not just focused on race.

The express likes to stir up people regardless of colour. Rag.

Wot a load er cobblers!
