Compaint Against Mental Health Services
I am wanting to know how you go about complaining about the care that a deceased family member has had from the mental health services, and one or two other organisations designated to support those with mental health issues.
the mother of the deceased person had hoped to get some answers at the inquest, but given the remit of this, i am guessing the coroner will not accept some of the questions she has.
is there a statute of limitations on a complaint of this kind, he died last september and she only received the coroners report last week. there are some questions that i believe are valid, but the whole scenario required serious consideration.
Given that we are lucky to have an nhs free at the point of use, this is not something that anyone in the family want to contemplate, given that most of us do, or have worked within the nhs, but there have been failings by the look of it, and his mother just wants some answers as to why they took the decisions they did. A complaint seems to be the only way to be able to do this.
