Don't Oxygen Free Copper(OFC) cables also have gold plated connectors?

kempie: i thought they did too.

shiznit: you should go for OFC cables, with gold-plated plugs as kempie suggests, to get the best out of your system. unless the system is high quality though, you might not notice a great difference.

In fact, if you are a normal human being, you won't notice a difference anyway, in a blind test. People only ever notice a difference if they are aware that the cables are different. This is pure placebo effect.
The reason why cable connectors are gold plated is because gold is an element which has good conductivity, therefore the signal or electrical current travels better with little or no resistance. This is also true in the case of oxygen free leads. However, the difference is that the oxygen free leads have gone through another progress in the engineering cycle to remove even more elements that could affect the quality of the signal, hence resulting in even better signal or current transfer, giving better final quality result.
