For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.yes this is clutch slip,caused by wear and tear or bad driving habits like riding the clutch instead of applying the handbrake on hills. it is worth buying genuine ford parts when replacing the clutch,pressure plate and thrust bearing a bit more expensive but last longer. most garages will tackle this job. It can be done on a d i y basis in 5 hours, very dirty and assistance is required on dropping the gear box, but even so it is a straight forward enough job with good results.
