Radio is an electomagnetic wave, like light except we can't see it, but it does induce minute currents in pieces of metal whose length is about a quarter the wavelength. This voltage is stepped by a capacitor and inductor in parallel whose output is then amplified by a transistor to provide enough power to move an electomagnet tied to a cone of paper in a loudspeaker so we can hear it.
