Access keys / Keyboard short cuts

I need to create a keyboard short cut on my 'Contact' hyperlink in my website.

I have created this before by making the letter for example 'C' underlined and the rest of the word was not underlined 'ontact'. so the user could press Ctrl C i think to open the Contact page.

I have looked on the internet but only come across Access keys where the code works but the underline is not there. is there a way around this without putting the underline in the code??
