With big big blinds.....what's your strategy. I was put all in (he was first to act) by the leader (420 chips to my 180, I was a generally better player than him), I had A10off to his A9off, he hit his 9 :-(

I lost it all...was this the wrong thing to do? He was going all in with A2 previously....blinds were 15/30 and he was raising a lot preflop.

I would probably have called with A10. I'ts not a bad hand at that stage of the game.

I'd have played with A,10 too, but texas hold'em is based on the best five cards not the pockets alone. All it does is give you a high card advantage if the flop doesn't go your way. Bide your time, fold till you get a killer hand then blow em away. Its probably an amature that doesnt know any different, going all in on luck rather than judgement, as hitting a pair of 9's is hardly a convincing hand.
