Does anyone know how to get the power on/off switch to bits without breaking anything on the above vacuum cleaner. Mine needs a new cable and while I'm more than capable of replacing the cable I can't see how to get it to bits without resorting to a flame thrower.

It gave them all sorts of problems - so what did they do - bought another one obviously. This has also had a new motor. utter sh1t. I have had a Goblin wet and dry for 15yr without anything needing replacing.
