Do you like to answer questions on AB where there haven't been any answers yet, where there have just been three or four, or do you answer where there have been loads and loads of answers?
Like sammd, if there a quite a few answers, I tend not to, because I probably couldn't add anything new, but if there are no answers, or just one or two, if I know the answer to the question, or can help in some way, then i'll answer, also, if I don't know the answer, then i;ll try to find it, Google, Dictionary etc, you can find and learn quite a lot, because of this, and like sites.
I like to answer questions i have knowledge of IE:- politicts, current affairs, history etc. I have an opinion on all of these subjects and love hearing other AB'ers views. sometimes though someone like Ward-Minter pops up who is an out and out lier, someone who claimes to have been an Army Officer but who quite clearly in his answers has only had one job in life and that is pushing shopping trollies aroung his local Tesco car park.
john, don't think I've noticed any posts from Ward Minter. That's another thing - do ABers have their favourite topics? Mine are Body & Soul, Home & Garden, People & Places and Shopping. Typical Female ...
And do you have your non-favourites ... I hardly ever venture into Sport and if I do I have no idea what anyone is talking about, and I sometimes wander into Animals and Nature and beat a hasty retreat as it always seem to be headed by something horrible like "dog worms" or "my cat is being sick and has one eye going funny" which puts me off my dinner !!!!!!
lady_p_gold whenever I go into Animals and Nature, someone is talking about a cat doing poos in their garden then someone else says something about shooting the poor animal which completely gets up my nose so I stay away from the site now. And like you say, you stick with the sites you know something about otherwise it is a complete waste of time ! Who knows anything about technology anyway ? Not me !
hi judie, well I will answer if the question relates to me, or past experiences. But I often read the really good replies that others have left, and then am glad I didnt answer, as it would make me look a dimbo!
johnlambert. You are my friend! I have been a member on here since 2004 and have never come across anyone like Ward-Minter. Beside's being an outragious story teller he is also very racist, something I abhor. He says he's divorced,,hmmm wonder why? :--)
I love being first (modom!) but if there are responses there, I will read through them. If it's a straightforward question, and has been answered, I won't bother unless I can add some information. If it's a debate and someone has already voiced my view, again I won't bother to duplicate, but if my opinion or fact is not there, I will pile in.
