Spread betting works by the punters betting that a particular result will fall outside a range set by the bookmakers. However, from the example you quote, there is no way I can see any of the numbers in the final outcome falling within the range 19-22. It cannot refer to the total frames played (there must be at least 24 with the score at 12-6) or to the number either player can get. They are really the only two things I can think of in a snooker match unless you start talking about the points scored in any single frame. Id really be interested if you ever find out the answer.
