how do i put videos and photos onto my ipod!?!?

I want to rip a dvd movie into mp4 format and trnasfer it into my itunes video section but it wont work. im using the programme Handbrake Lite. i also have no idea how to get my photos into itunes so i can put them onto my ipod either... HEEEEEELLLLPPP!!!!! im pretty technoilitterate!

if you know and have advice pls write it in easy yo follow bullet points as im crap and get confused easily! cheers.

I have no idea about transferring the videos but i know how to transfer photos from the computer to the ipod using itunes. Open iTunes, on the top left in this window, you ill find EDIT. Click on this and select preferences. Incase you are unable to find this, just click "CTRL and ,". That is, the control key and the comma "," key simultaniously. This will display a window. Now click on iPod tab. Now, click on the photos tab. From this window, you can edit ur settings of the photos and transfer the photos. I guess there should a tab called videos also right next to the photos tab. Check it out.
