do i have to pay to get a radio code?, my husbands car battery went flat and the radio has blocked, its an s reg vauxhall astra. I will buy another radio before i pay �17.50 to the thieving toerags in our local garage. Can anyone advise me or do i get to buy another radio?! Thanks for any help x

Quite a rip-off of customers who have bought their cars by Vauxhall who surely could do it cheaper and as a service to their customers than many places I have found on the net.
There are a few forums where members will provide the code free if you are lucky enough to post when they are about but I have had no luck down this avenue so far. I may as well buy a cheap �50 radio/CD unit to replace the radio/cassette than pay �20 to the main dealer.

try posting here with serial number etc and they should help
