I'd like to use the UK road sign symbols in a publication that I am working on. Does anyone know if they are Crown Copyright? I can't find reference to a specific copyright on the various government sites I looked at.

Thanks.

I suspect they are - try looking at a copy of the Highway Code (library or bookshop will have one)

Since the majority of road signs used in the UK conform to those used internationally (thus enabling drivers to understand them wherever they may be) I tend to think that they are not covered by any copyright.

Thanks for all your replies. There is some useful info on the links but I still can't find an exact reference to this in particular, so I will email someone at OPSI and see what I get back.

Thanks again.
