If you use a DIY kit, how do you know how much refrigerant is already in the system ? You don't. So it's already full up, it's not working because there's too much moisture in the system and now you have overfilled it. System still doesn't work because the pressure switch won't let it so you get another DIY can and put that in as well. Now it gets dangerous. BANG. Hopefully you are not leaning over the engine bay if anything lets go. If R134a hits you in the eyes it's white stick time.
Leave it to the professionals.
I agree with Billy,
I do not know anything about these kits but I would strongly advise you to have it done by the experts.
I do know that the refrigerant should be completely changed and not just topped up, to do this needs two connections to the aircon and everything must be done in the correct order using the correct equipment.
