I know this may make me look silly, but I am really HOPELESS with math add to that lack of sleep, my brain will just not function. Could you please help me out.
I measured an area in my garden that I would like to put paving stones down. It measures 880cm x 380cm.
Looking at the B&Q website, their paving stones are measured at 450mm x 600 mm each. How many of these would I need to buy. thank you so much in advance.

880cm divided by 60cm (600mm) is 14.66 so 15 if you cut the last one there
So you'll need 15 x 9 = 135
If you don't cut the stones and use 8 x 14 you'll need 112 but you'll pave an area 840x360cm
If you lay the stones the other way around you'll need
880/45= 19.6 =20
380/60=6.33=7
20x7 =140
hope this helps

I know that this is a bit late in the day but as you think that laying all paving could be a bit pricey you might consider a mix of paving stones - say in several blocks of four and the rest say in 20mm/10mm chard flint(or similar). Less work and provides plenty of drainage So you could have 50% paving stone and the other 50% flint or whatever mix takes your fancy. Just a thought.
