Wireless switch on my laptop
3 Answers
I've just spent 30 minutes talking to a Belkin technical support person who has just talked me through setting up my wireless modem.
My laptop (an Advent) is wirless enabled, but whatever I do (and yes I double click on the little icon at the bottom right hand corner and click refresh to find new networks) it just fails to recognise the modem.
I don't want to go to the expense of buying a flash drive or wirless card as I have been told my laptop wireless facility is working properly.
Does someone have an idea of what could be the problem??
Thanks for reading this.

Assuming the wireless is switched on (enabled) you will not "see" it as an available network as it is invisible. You can connect to the modem (router?) directly via an ethernet cable or USB cable ie bypass the wirelessness and re-enable the display SSID.
