bosch dishwasher problems?
4 Answers
My one year old Bosch Classixx dishwasher is not letting the water out . the check water light is on. I have checked the filter and tried the turn it of f and the on trick. I have tried swearing at it and I am just about to beat it with the branch of a tree. Is there anyone who can tell me what I should really do. Thank-you

Check the point of connection under the sink if that is where the waste pipe is connected. Check that all the plumbing after the dishwasher is clear so that water can get away. The pumps are very small and any blockage in the pipes will cause the washer to go into fault mode. Bosch will have a call out number available. May cost a bit but less hassle than a new dishwasher. Call bosch not a plumber!
Have had problem with the same symptom. Solved it by borrowing a T20 Torx driver and removing the pump cover. Before doing this I had to bail all the water out so it was a bit of a fiddle. Once the cover was off I found an elastic band had wound itself around the impeller. I do not know how the band got there but once I removed it the machine worked fine. May seem a bit odd having to use a Torx driver but this is mentioned in the care and maintenance sections of the books and leaflets which come with the Classixx dishwasher - and they also have a diagram which shows which screw to undo. .
