Speeding ticket
4 Answers
I recently got back from hols to find a speeding ticket on the mat. Having checked the dates because I had only recently bought the car, I discovered the ticket was for a date previous to when I bought the it ( about two weeks ). GREAT,I thought and filled in the form best I could, telling them that I didn' t own the car at that time so it wasn't me. I have now recieved a letter informing me that I shall be taken to court because I denied driving the car and didn't name the driver of the car at the time of the offence. Will the case be heard at a local court or where the offence took place (approx 100 miles). If it is not local to me can I claim expenses and if so who from. Also in law by the way.
