we have recently moved from spain back to the uk. all our electrical appliances e.g t v, irons, kettle, toaster have the continental 2 pin plug and i presume no earth lead. they have all been purchased in the past 3 years so are relatively new.
what is the best solution to use them here;
a simple plug swap to 3 pin?
plug in wall adapters?
any suggestions appreciated

I would think it the cheapest option to replace the plugs and ensure that they have the appropriate fuse for each appliance .

The next best option is to use Euro converter plugs since these also allow for fuse selection, whereas the common "shaver adaptor" has a fixed rating of 1A only.

The number of travel adaptors you require may make that option needlessly expensive.
Hi,

Speaking as an Electrical Engineer, simply cut off the 2 pin plug and swap it for a conventional 3 pin.

You will find that there is an earth wire in 90% of your appliances, if not there is no need for one. As already mentioned, please ensure that you use the correct fuse.

Hi! I just bought a new PC system and the speaker unit had a typical 2 pin plug the place were I purchased it gave me what looked like a conventional 3 pin but it is an adaptor . You just unscrew the plug as normal and locate the 2 pins in the socket and screw back up. Job done.
