Why is our fridge warmer?

Refrigerator problem. Ever since my wife recently 'de-frosted' the fridge....the 'cool' compartment seems too warm-yet the freezer compartment at the bottom seems fine......It's a Frigidaire & about ten years old.

I think you might have to accept your`e fridge has had its day. A cheap way to check is to buy a cheap fridge thermometer (about �1. 50) at a supermarket. The temp needs to be between 0-5 degrees centigrade. Above this and you risk food poisoning.

is it a fridge freezer?
I am a domestic appliance engineer.
The fan may have gone if it's a fridge/freezer and the fridge is warmer.
It could also be the cellanoid for the vent at the back.
