After observing, I noticed it actually came from the soap tray - even though it was pushed in, there is a little gap and the water as it's pumping comes thru there. Maybe that's the same with you - if so, a peice of sticky tape just on that bit every wash should help (that or a towel on the floor to soak it up).
I am not conversant with that machine, but if that is where the pump is, then most likely the leak is from the pump or one of the connecting hoses. I used to repair washing machines, and leaks can be very deceptive. Where the water is apparent is often not near the source of the leak. I suggest first disconnecting from the main power supply- I mean remove the plug from the socket so there is no danger of electric shock. Take off the top, usually held on by two or three screws at the back of the machine. see if you can see a water mark, trace it back to its origin. If it is not visible from the top, turn the machine on its back, taking precautions not to damage any water pipes and see if you can see any evidence of a water trail from there. given my experience, it is probably from a worn hose connecting to the pump. Usually quite cheap and not technically (although it can be a pain!) difficult to replace. 'Googling' can find you a supplier, if you do not have a local shop to buy spares from. Any problems, post back. I am pretty good at this. given enough detail, I can probably help.
For Postdog, when you say as it is pumping, do you mean when emptying? If you give me more detail I might be able to help you too. Temporary repairs, such as you suggest you have made do not repair the leak, and you might find you flood your kitchen or wherever your machine is. If the inlet valves are open when the leak deteriorates, and you are not at home it will continue to pump water into the room. even if the machine is not actually washing.
Then it is probably leaking from an inlet valve or hose. If you have checked outside the machine then I suggest, and only do this if you are confident as electricity kills, you disconnect from the main power supply. Remove the top. Put the plug back into the socket, ensuring that you are not in danger of electrocution- the wires are live as soon as you plug in- you do not have to turn on the machine! Then start a wash and it should be apparent where the leak is. Valves and hoses are readily available, and not difficult to replace. Once again, post back and I will help where I can. Remember, a leak will not stop. It will get steadily worse. Fix it now, probably much cheaper than waiting until you need to call out an engineer.
