Anyone know any funny things to do with a microwave cooker?

I heard that if you put in a whole egg, it explodes when you take it out - but the timing is crucial.

probably right. but why would you want to do it?...spend the next week picking up the pieces!

put crisp packets in (NOT FOIL LINED ONES!) you end up with a tiny wrinkled miniature

also try a polystyrene cup
Try a bar of soap.

At work we're signed up to Microsoft Select so we get pretty much all their software. Part of the agreement is that we destroy old CDs. So we used to have piles and piles of them to dispose of. Some of them went into the office microwave.

Nice light display and the shiny metal in the disk turns all spider webby. Unfortunately I believe it also produce toxic fumes. Even with the windows open and fans blowing they stunk out the office and gave me a head ache.
You also wouldn't want to use the microwave for food afterwards.
you can get good arc effects if you put tinfoil in then turn on the micro - scrunch it up first or fold it into zigzags. You'll get cool sparks jumping across the gaps
Not funny but I believe that there was an actual case of a lady who put her small freshly washed pet poodle into a microwave to dry it. Not nice.

Jeremy Clarkson fromTop Gear had a show where he put Xmas tree lights in a microwave and they lit up a treat.
Well, I certainly don't recommend putting chestnuts into the microwave to roast them without splitting their skins first.
Had a poached egg explode once as I hadn't pierced the yolk - It went everywhere - all over the kitchen ceiling and was about as hot as molten lava too !!
