hi guys, wondered if any one could help me, i have changed one of my light fittings from a single bulb to a 3 way ceiling light, the ceiling rose of the old light was a loop in system,i've had to disconnect the old ceiling rose & to put in the new light i've had to put in terminal blocks : 3 red (live) in one terminal - switch live & neutral in a double terminal & 4 earths to the other terminal - have wrapped them in insulation tape & put all in mountain plate to secure into ceiling. Can i use this method safely as it is awkward to uproot all floorboards & carpeting for a junction box, would appreciate any help or advice, thanking you.
Sounds good to me, Provided you have used the correctly sized / rated con block & wraped them properly without any bare core visible that should be OK .
raysparks1 will be able to tell you for sure.
